Bannon sees good in judge’s doubts about legal adviser’s decision

By Khorri Atkinson (July 29, 2022, 1:36 p.m. EDT) — Fresh off a DC jury verdict finding him guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress, former Trump White House aide Steve Bannon , and his defense team were quick to say he would not hold, thanks at least in part to a pre-trial ruling that they say gives them ammunition for their pending appeal.

Bannon himself said after the verdict, “We may have lost a battle here today, but we’re not going to lose this war.” Defense attorney David I. Schoen said, “It’s the first round.” He then said the decision was a “bulletproof” ground for appeal.
