A Midlands law firm has completed work on its first transatlantic listing for a major client.

Leamington Spa-based Wright Hassall undertook all the UK legal work for Trinity Pictures Distribution in the reverse takeover of Canadian-based Appreciated Media Holdings.

Trinity Pictures Distribution, which was established in 2014, is involved in the international production and distribution of film and television content and provides a pathway to global markets for independent producers.

Over the past year, it has produced five films and distributed 25 television shows and documentaries.

The new entity is now listed on the NEO Exchange in Toronto as Amcomri Entertainment Inc (NE:AMEN) and began trading on January 13.

Robert Lee of Wright Hassall, who is a partner in the firm’s corporate law group, said: “The firm was originally involved in the home entertainment business through the distribution of securities to the UK and Ireland, he realized that there was a lack of distribution opportunities for independent titles in these markets and set about developing a business to capitalize on this opportunity.

“He has added companies to the group regularly, but now also produces his own titles which he distributes alongside the work of independent producers.

“It’s been really rewarding to be involved in its development, and it was great to see the NEO Exchange bell ring to mark its listing and to know that we had played a part.”
